Pinterest Love...

Have you hopped on the Pinterest bandwagon yet?   I have...big time. Overhead recently at our house: "Boys, stop asking about dinner, I'm pinning!"  I know, it's terrible, don't judge.  So when it came time to update the spring confirmed vendor page, I decided to try something new: I created a Pinterest board with images from each of our lovely vendors.  It's a pretty delicious feast of eye candy if I do say so myself.  Check it out:

I'll be updating the board as we add any new sellers to the mix so I do hope you'll follow along.  You can also follow the other Clover Market boards for plenty of ongoing design inspiration for the home.  And since I clearly enjoy Pinterest so much, I thought it might be nice to suggest a few design-related pinners that I enjoy following:

• Blue Velvet Chair: a pinner focused on "creating the extraordinary from the ordinary through RE: cycling, RE: purposing, and RE: loving"
• Brick House: love her dose of "modern design for frugal folks"
• Canadian House and Home: by a landslide, my favorite design magazine
• I'm always loving the finds from textile addicts Cloth and Kind and Co-Lab
• Dec A Porter: interior design, decoration, and inspiration blogger
• Of course I love pins from the creators of the wildly popular design blogs Decor8 and DesignSponge
• Emily Henderson: fun finds from the host of Secrets From a Stylist
• Erica Reitman Self-described as a "smartass design blogger who curses like a sailor, is addicted to Diet Coke, and can't stop watching bad reality TV".  I feel that.  Her blog is completely snarky and totally addictive.  
• Katy Elliott: a blogger currently renovating an old house in New England who focuses on the decoration and restoration of older houses
• Joy Cho~Oh Joy: wildly popular designer, blogger, food enthusiast (and designer of the Clover market logo), Joy has an endless array of beautiful things popping up on her boards.
• Layla Grace: from the LA-based retailer of furniture and decor
• Lonny Magazine: who doesn't love Lonny Magazine which, by the way, is now getting ready to publish online monthly starting in May.  Yippee!
• Making it Lovely ~ Nicole Balch: from the same-named design blog about living a stylish life and "transforming the so-so".  Right up my alley.
• Poppytalk Handmade: From the Canadian design blog which collects inspiration and promotes emerging design talent.  I bow down.
• SFGirlByBay: from San Francisco-based blogger Victoria Smith who is also a photographer, photo stylist, design junkie and "bona fine flea market queen"
• West Elm: surprisingly good inspiration from the retailer of clean and simple
• Young House Love: from the blogger who strives to "give thrifty homeowners the motivation and inspiration to turn their homes into places to love" 

And finally, I must give a shout out to joeyfivecents and hillaryocarroll who are most frequently busting me on Pinterest when I should be doing other important things.  Both have lovely pages which have been the source of many a repin.

I'm pleased to announce our preliminary list of participants for the spring season...and what a group it is!  Over the coming weeks I will be updating the website with a more complete seller page to include photos and web links for all of our confirmed participants.

Don't forget that if you'd like to receive a list of who's coming to each Market, you can sign up for the mailing list using the form at right.  I'll send out the final confirmed group (we do have cancellations and new additions from time to time) and any important updates and announcement so you can plan your visit.

Flea Market Style "Best Vintage Sales"

So the hubs took the boys to see a long movie on Sunday afternoon, and I finally had the chance to run out to Target (OK, I didn't really run, I strolled very slowly and joyfully through each and every aisle...all ALONE!) to pick up my copy of the Spring/Summer issue of Flea Market Style.   

My friend Colleen Allison from freshvintage spotted Clover Market's inclusion in a "Best Vintage Sales From Coast to Coast" piece and texted me the happy news on Saturday night.  Woo hoo!  

Here we are, right in PA section (btw, the numbers aren't ranks - they just sorted everyone alphabetically).  We're the only PA sale included in the article.  Very cool.  

So I must give a great big thank you to the readers who nominated Clover and the editors who chose to run us as part of this story.  Can't wait for the coming season to see you all again.

Spring 2012 Vendor Preview Stats

Whew!  The review process is complete and notifications have gone out today to all of our applicants.  We had our largest number of applicants ever and the decision-making process was very difficult this year.   The spring '12 season is shaping up to be our best yet, with three sold out Markets.

We'll have...
Just shy of 100 vendors at each and every Market
140 total vendors participating during the season
and 55 totally new vendors joining a crew of "regulars"

In the coming days, I'll be posting up the complete vendor list, photos, and links to their websites.  Can't wait to share them all with you!
